Kindergarten Groups, Session Times and Fees

3-Year-Old Kindergarten Funding

Lilian Cannam Kindergarten participates in the Victorian Government free kindergarten initiative for the 3-year-old program.  This entitles families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten per week.  The kindergarten receives funding directly from the Victorian Government, so families are not out of pocket (and don’t have to claim the savings back).   Income from other sources such as fundraising and voluntary contributions are used to meet additional costs incurred by the service in the delivery of the children’s program.  

3-Year-Old Timetable and Enrolment Deposit

Enrolment Deposit: $250 (refundable upon commencement in Term 1)

4-Year-Old Kindergarten

Lilian Cannam Kindergarten participates in the Victorian Government free kindergarten initiative for the 4-year-old program.  This entitles families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten per week.  The kindergarten receives funding directly from the Victorian Government, so families are not out of pocket (and don’t have to claim the savings back).  Kindergarten fees for the additional 4.5 hours are set by the Committee of Management to ensure the financial viability of the service.   Income from other sources for the additional 4.5 hours, primarily fees along with fundraising and voluntary contributions are required to meet the additional costs incurred by the service in the delivery of the children’s program.

Enrolment Deposit: $250 (offset against Term 1 Fees)

Banksia Extended Hours Group

The Banksia Group offers an extended hours program for parents requiring longer kinder hours. Children can attend the Banksia Group on the days they have a session. The Banksia Group is managed by a qualified kindergarten teacher and is designed to complement the group sessions.

Banksia Group will have a booking system in 2023. The fees are yet to be confirmed.

Term Dates 2023

Throughout the year the kindergarten has curriculum days/child-free days for professional development, school planning and administration, curriculum development, and child assessment and reporting purposes.
